With the release of ONLYOFFICE Docs 8.2 , our team has released new versions of ONLYOFFICE desktop applications for Linux, Windows, and macOS. Like previous versions, the updated desktop applications have key features from the online suite, such as a newly designed interface, touch support, faster file loading, optimized Chinese character display for macOS, RTL right-to-left support in tables, etc. Read this article for details.

Interface Improvements
To provide a more comfortable user experience, ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors 8.2 has redesigned the interface and lets users choose how tabs are displayed in the editor. In addition to the familiar “Fill” tab style, you can also choose the “Line” tab style, which adds an underline under the tab title.

Another interface improvement is that you can now set the toolbar color to the tab background color. In addition, the file menu has been redesigned and new icons have been added.

If you want to try something new
You can use the new Gray theme. With this theme, the color of all interface elements will be consistent and all ONLYOFFICE editors will have the same look and feel.

Take advantage of RTL support in tables

Desktop applications can now detect and respond to your touch input, even when you use your mouse. To make working on a touchscreen device more comfortable, you can use the Magnifier tool for precise text selection and faster browsing.
Associate file extensions with ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors

If you agree with the setting, just click the OK button. This way, all such files will be opened with ONLYOFFICE applications.
